I love cereal...

and apparently so does our baby!  Colin was soooo enthusiastic while he was enjoying his first bowl of cereal.  I couldn't spoon it fast enough!  I can't believe we're already to the point where he can be eating real food...time is definitely flying by.  I guess that's what happens when there's three kids to take care of.  :)  Here's a video of Colin getting his first tastes of "big boy" food.  He devoured the entire bowl.  That's my growing boy!!

         

                                            

Slightly Irish

Okay, so basically we're mutts here, with me being English, Irish, Dutch and Italian, and Eric being almost completely Dutch with hints of Scottish and French.  Due to our muddled ancestral roots, we decided it wasn't necessary to do the traditional Irish fare of corned beef and cabbage, and instead decided on some "Irish" enchiladas (we probably could have dyed them green or something, but that would have meant putting more effort into dinner than either of us wanted to do.).  Fortunately, we were completely spoiled today by our neighbors instead.  The Sheehans made delicious Irish soda bread which made a great snack, and for dessert Carly made some FANTASTIC Bailey's brownies which were out of this world!!  I think they very well could be my favorite food ever! :)  Then, after dinner we posed as Leprechauns with a face cutout Danny made at school today.  I have to say, I'm quite impressed with how cute this way.  I think the boys make mighty fine looking Irishmen (er, at least Irish legends...).

So I really wanted to start the blog with a post about Colin's Birth Story, which is about halfway done now.  In the meantime, I thought I'd share a few photos of brotherly love...

Blogging!

So often it's easy to get completely overwhelmed and forget to chronicle those little memories you will forget if you don't jot them down somewhere.  I figured I'd start blogging just to have a place to share those little things with others whom otherwise would probably never hear them.  It's also for me to get a little perspective when life gets totally crazy and I just need to look back and laugh (or remember it could always be worse!)  I hope you can manage to get a few laughs along the way.  :) Boys are definitely a breed of their own, I can promise you that.  They can make you want to laugh and scream at the same time.  Someone once told me that there's a special place in heaven for mothers of boys, and now after living the life with my three I can say I'm really hoping that's the truth!  Anyway, welcome to my adventures in blogging with "The White House Cronicles".  So, fasten your seatbelts because it's guaranteed to be a bumpy ride!
